Trips and Visits
At Haslam Park Primary School, enrichment opportunities are an integral part of our curriculum and play a vital role in pupils’ learning and personal development. We believe that high-quality workshops, educational visits and unique experiences are essential in bringing learning to life and broadening pupils’ understanding of the world.
Enrichment is carefully planned and systematically mapped across the academic year and across year groups to ensure progression, coherence and equity. All trips, visitors and workshops are curriculum-driven and purposefully linked to classroom learning, enabling pupils to deepen their knowledge, make meaningful connections and develop new skills through first-hand experiences.
Inclusion is central to our enrichment offer. We are committed to ensuring that all pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and those who are disadvantaged, are able to access, participate in and benefit fully from every opportunity. Leaders plan proactively to remove barriers, making appropriate adaptations, providing additional support and using targeted funding where necessary so that no child is excluded or disadvantaged.
Leaders closely monitor participation and impact to ensure that enrichment opportunities enhance learning outcomes and personal development for all pupils. As a result, children at Haslam Park develop confidence, curiosity and cultural capital, and leave our school with rich experiences that support their academic success and prepare them well for future learning.
