During the run up to bonfire night, our children learnt about fire safety, inparticular how to keep safe during bonfire night. Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service came to deliver an assembly to our EYFS and KS1 children. The children where eager to ask and answer questions about the role of a fire fighter then reception had the opportunity to see and explore the fire engine.

Mad Science visited our school to teach the children all about electricity. Mad Science Assemblies grab out childrens attention from start to finish with there fun, educational and hands on experiences.

Some of our children took part in National Volunteer Day by patrolling our local park, collecting rubbish. They were joined by Bolton Council who provided us with lots of equipment  to continue our contribution to the wider community. Our Children learnt about the value of volunteering and shown great compassion and growth- two of our school values.

Our Year 4 children went to Bolton Museum as part of there Egyption unit of work. Our children have been learning about beliefs and values of Ancient Egyptions and had the opportunity to continue their learning at the museum. Year 4 took part in an Egyption workshop were they looked at artifacts and the mummification process, they got to dress up as Egyption Ferrous and watched an interactive presentation about the mummyfication process which they then performed in groups.
