Year Six - Parry

Mrs Parry is the class teacher.  I have been teaching for 23 years and this is my third year at Haslam Park School.  My hobbies include netball, rounders and cricket.   Mrs Patel helps us in class and is our  PPA provider.  We are also supported in class by Miss Dobson, Mrs Rabadia, Miss Dickinson, Miss Riz.

 

The best way to get in contact with us is through Class Dojo. Please ask if you need any support with this.

To support your child's learning in school please ensure they have: 

  • Water bottle filled with plain water 
  • A coat 
  • Reading book and planner 
  • In the colder months please ensure children have hats, gloves, scarfs, etc.  
  • In the warmer months please ensure children have hats, sun cream, and plenty of water to drink.  

Our PE days change each half tem. Please check on Dojo for the most up to date sesisons.

Please make sure your child has an appropriate PE kit.

 

Our PE day for Autumn 1 is Friday. 

This is delivered by Coach Steve from Edstart.

Expected PE Kit

School Day

8.50am - 3.15pm

Please make sure your children are dropped off and picked up on time.

Dinner and Snack Money needs to be paid on Fridays for the week after using the Parent Pay log in. 

Please do not send any money into school.

School Dinners - £12.85 per week

Snack Money -  £1.50 per week

If you need any help with your Parent Pay account, please go to the school office.

If you think you qualify for free school meals, please see Ms Voraji in the school office.

Homework

Homework expectations are:

  • Read your school reading book every night and log it in your yellow reading record.
  • TT Rockstars every night.  Play on Garage in order to turn your heat map green  and improve your times table knowledge.
  • Spelling Shed every night.  Practise your spellings of the week.  Spelling test every Friday.
  • Maths and English homework every Friday to be handed in by the following Friday.

 

Reading book expectations:
 
  • Bring to school the yellow reading record every day.
  • Expectation is to read at home 5 times a week.
  • Have the yellow reading record signed every time your child reads at home.
  • Ask your child questions about what they have read and about some of the       vocabulary in the book.
  • Mrs Parry will check all of the reading records every Friday to check who has been reading at home.
