Mental Health and Well-being
At Haslam Park we feel very passionate about the mental well-being of all our staff, children and our school community. We can't wait to show you our excellent pastoral care offered to our children and team.
We are currently working towards our WAS - Well-being Award for Schools
This award promotes positive social and emotional well-being, mental health and wellness for pupils and staff in our school. We can't wait to share our journey with you. We are super excited to share our journey with you.
Due to Covid 19 - mental well-being, self isolating, bereavement and a lack of opportunities are all impacting on children's and adults mental health. We believe as a school now more than ever is a time to highlight our brilliant work we do.
'To achieve this vision, NCB advocates the use of a ‘whole-school approach’ where all aspects of the school experience are harnessed to promote the emotional wellbeing and mental health of pupils and staff. It is an approach where emotional wellbeing and mental health is everybody’s business.' (National Children's Bureau - Award Place 2020)
