We are very proud to named after the climate activist, Greta Thunberg. She was born in Sweden in 2003 and became interested in climate change at an early age. Initially, Greta made changes by stopping eating meat and then persuaded her parents to stop flying in aeroplanes around the world.
When Greta was a young teenager, she managed to persuade millions of students from all around the world to strike on Friday's until more was done by the world leaders to deal with climate change. She has also spoken at the United Nations Climate Action Summit in front of many of the world's leaders.
This will be set online using Education City, Spelling Shed and TT Rockstars. The homework is set on a Friday to be completed by the following Friday.
Also I would be grateful if you could read with your child as many nights as possible and please remember to sign their diary THREE times .
Children will be given dojos for completing their homework and reading at home.
This term we are looking at:
Poetry, descriptions and non-chronological reports in English.
Place Value in Maths
Properties of materials in Science.
Keeping Safe online in Computing.
